Day 1 :

Arrival in Paro – Drive to Thimphu

Arrive at Paro International Airport and drive to Thimphu. Visit the National Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordenma, and stroll through the local market. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 2 :

Drive from Thimphu to Trongsa

Travel eastward over Dochu La Pass and descend into the subtropical valleys. Enjoy changing landscapes before arriving in Trongsa. Visit Trongsa Dzong, the largest fortress in Bhutan. Overnight in Trongsa.

Day 3 :

Drive to Jakar (Bumthang)

Head to Bumthang via the scenic Yutong La Pass (3,400m). Explore Jakar Dzong and local monasteries. Overnight in Bumthang.

Day 04 :

Bumthang Sightseeing

Explore Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, and Tamshing Monastery, significant spiritual sites in Bhutanese history. Relax and prepare for the trek. Overnight in Bumthang.

Day 05 :

Trek Starts – Toktu Zampa to Ngang Lhakhang

Begin the trek by walking along the Chamkhar Chu River. Pass small villages and cross a suspension bridge before arriving at Ngang Lhakhang ("Swan Temple"). Camp overnight nearby. Trek time: 4–5 hours.

Day 06 :

Ngang Lhakhang to Tahung or Ugyenchholing

Climb gradually through forests and meadows. Cross Phephe La Pass (3,360m), the highest point of the trek. Continue to Tahung or Ugyenchholing village. Trek time: 6–7 hours. Overnight in tents or local homestay.

Day 07 :

Tahung/Ugyenchholing to Tang Valley – End Trek

Descend into the Tang Valley and visit Ugyenchholing Palace, now a local museum. Meet your vehicle and drive back to Bumthang. Overnight in Bumthang.

Day 08 :

Drive to Phobjikha Valley

Travel to the beautiful glacial valley of Phobjikha, home to the endangered black-necked cranes in winter. Visit Gangtey Monastery. Overnight in Phobjikha.

Day 09 :

Drive to Punakha

Descend to Punakha, Bhutan’s ancient capital. Visit Punakha Dzong at the confluence of two rivers and hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple. Overnight in Punakha.

Day 10 :

Drive to Paro

Return to Paro, stopping en route at Dochula Pass for panoramic Himalayan views. Relax in the evening or explore Paro town. Overnight in Paro.

Day 11 :

Paro – Hike to Taktsang Monastery

Take a day hike to the sacred Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), one of Bhutan’s most iconic landmarks. The round-trip hike takes 4–5 hours. Farewell dinner in Paro. Overnight in Paro.

Departure from Paro
