Day 1 :

Arrival in Paro – Drive to Thimphu

Arrive in Paro, where you'll be greeted by your guide and transferred to Thimphu. En route, stop by Tamchog Lhakhang and walk across the iron bridge. After hotel check-in, enjoy an evening walk around the capital city.

Day 2 :

Thimphu Sightseeing

Visit key cultural sites including the Buddha Dordenma, Memorial Chorten, National Library, Folk Heritage Museum, and the Institute for Zorig Chusum (arts & crafts school). In the evening, explore the Centenary Farmers Market and Tashichho Dzong.

Day 3 :

Thimphu to Punakha via Dochula Pass

Drive over Dochula Pass (3,100m), where 108 chortens mark the ridge. On clear days, you’ll see the Himalayan peaks. Visit Chimi Lhakhang (fertility temple) en route, and explore Punakha Dzong, beautifully situated between two rivers.

Day 04 :

Punakha to Gangtey (Phobjikha Valley)

Head toward the glacial valley of Phobjikha. Stop at Wangdue for a short visit before arriving in Gangtey. Visit Gangtey Monastery and enjoy a peaceful nature trail walk through the valley. Overnight in a lodge or farmstay.

Day 05 :

Gangtey to Paro

After breakfast, drive back to Paro via scenic countryside. Once in Paro, explore Paro Dzong and the traditional cantilever bridge. Visit the National Museum housed in Ta Dzong and stroll through Paro town.

Day 06 :

Excursion to Haa Valley (Day Trip)

Take a full-day scenic drive to the remote and culturally rich Haa Valley via Chele La Pass (3,988m), the highest motorable pass in Bhutan. Enjoy picnic lunch and short hikes, and visit local shrines before returning to Paro.

Day 07 :

Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang)

Begin early for the iconic hike to Taktsang Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff. The 4–5 hour round-trip offers sweeping valley views and a deeply spiritual experience. Optionally, enjoy a hot stone bath back in town.

Day 08 :

Departure from Paro

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward journey with unforgettable memories of the Land of the Thunder Dragon.
